Good evening all,

The middle of June my kids and I moved to Vancouver, Washington, because my parents are here and I need more help these days (I have no brothers or sisters). Now that we are here I need to find a "GOOD" doctor somewhere close to here. I am not far from Portland, Oregon and Seattle is about 2-3 hours away. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dawn

My prayers are with you. The more people we educate about RSD the more chances that just one of them may find a way to help us all.

Hi Dawn, I do not live in your area nor do I know anyone their. I do know the best place to find great Dr.'s is where all the teaching hospitals are. The big University hospitals all have Pain clinics. I hope this helps. I have a awsome DR. in NY who treats my RSD. I always say to him that he is my angel from heaven.
I wish you the best!

If you don't mind the traveling, we have the best pain doc and RSD man in Logan, UT. Unfortunately, no one has heard about him because the 'good ole boys' who don't like anything new, won't refer anyone to him. His name is Dr. Raymond Bedell and he is one of the top speakers for various Pain and Anesthesiologists(?) (it's late, sorry) in the country! I found out about him by accident after being tossed from doc to doc & told I was a drug seeking mental case. He believed me and because of him and his cutting edge knowledge, I'm able to function normally (well, as normal as rsd lets me) I'm doing the morphine trials now. Try typing his name in a search engine- it comes up on all kinds of lists and shows names & states of many others as good as he is! Good Luck. If you can't find one, I'll ask him to look up someone for you! He's the best doctor and moral support I've ever had from anyone in the medical community!

Hi,
I am new to this board. I got RSD as a toddler and I am in my 30's now. I just had a baby boy on 9/11. If there is a doc you want to see in another state you can ( if you meet financial need criteria) fly for free. I have traveled to UNC with Airlifeline for years. Sometimes the best docs are just not close enough to you. I have a good one now in my state who put in an epidural portacath. Now I can run anesthisia (bupivicaine) into my spine when ever I want at home using an IV and a pump that I carry in a waist pouch. It gives me 100% pain relief while running and then carries over about 3 weeks when I use my buprenex injections.

You may not post contact information,
Read the Board guidelines.
