On August 22nd of this year I tore the ligaments in my left ankle and it still hasn't healed in fact I am still in a boot cast. Ever since I injured my ankle I have a terrible burning in the back of my heel and on the side of my foot on which I tore the ligament, infact it hurts me so badly that I have a hard time sleeping. I am going to physical therapy and there is no way in the world that they can put an ice pack on my ankle and foot because it hurts so bad that I scream and cry, they have to warm up the alcohol swabs between two hot packs before it the alcohol swabs touch my foot.
I also wanted to say thanks to whoever thought of this message site I really appreciate it. If anyone can give me any information on this I would really appreciate it. I am just tired of my foot hurting so much.
Thank You,
Soni

Dear Razzle,
Thank you so much for your reply to me. I was wondering how you were diagnosed with RSD and what were your symptoms. Please keep in touch because I would really love hearing from you.
Thank You,
Soni

Hi, I have rsd in my right leg (for two years now). I know my doctors have always told me to avoid the cold and cold ice packs as this can make the pain actually worse. Your physical therapist should know this if they are familiar with rsd. You might want to ask them if they are familiar with it because you don't want to do anything to aggrivate the rsd.
What have they done to try to stop the pain? I am always looking for new medicines or procedures to research or find out about.
Good luck, Sandra
